Brook Rogers OBE
Professor, King’s College
Professor Brooke Rogers OBE is a Professor of Behavioural
Science and Security and Deputy Head of Department in
the Department of War Studies at King’s College. She is a
social psychologist with an exceptional track record of de-
signing and delivering over £25 million of collaborative re-
search projects funded by a variety of sources. Her work
focuses on perceptions of and responses to risk and threat,
and risk communication.
Professor Rogers is the Chair of the Cabinet Office (CO) Na-
tional Risk Assessment and National Security Risk Assess-
ment Behavioural Science Expert Group, and the Home
Office Science Advisory Council (HOSAC). She maintains
membership on and participates in a number of advisory
groups including the Prime Minister’s Council for Science
and Technology, the UK’s Scientific Advisory Group for
Emergencies (SAGE) and related sub-groups; the Home
Office OSCT Analysis and Research Programme Challenge
Board; Public Health England’s Behavioural Science Ad-
visory Group; and the Greater London Authority London
Resilience Academic Partnership, among others. She ad-
vises international organisations including the International
Atomic Energy Association (IAEA), the National Academies
of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, the North Atlantic
Treaty Organisation (NATO), and the Organisation for Eco-
nomic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
