Security Agency

Mr. Matthew Travis serves as the first Deputy Director

for the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecu-

rity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). He served

as Deputy Under Secretary for the National Protection

and Programs Directorate (NPPD) before the agency be-

came CISA on November 16, 2018.

Prior to joining CISA in March 2018, He served as vice

president of homeland security for Cadmus, a security

and resiliency professional services firm supporting cli-

ents throughout the homeland security enterprise. He

also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, White House

Liaison to the Secretary of the Navy as well as a White

House Military Aide. He holds a master’s in National Se-

curity Studies from Georgetown University.
