Foresight driven COVID-19 recovery

At a time when major assumptions underlying govern-

ment risk management plans are under review, there

is opportunity to look ahead and prepare how to nav-

igate a different risk landscape once the pandemic has

passed. Dr. Barnes will take stock of drivers likely to

shape the future risk landscape, analysing a broad range

of risk and security topics that should be considered

in the pandemic recovery, such as the global supply

chain continuity and assumptions about market solu-

tions, the challenges of National continuity planning

and foresight. He will also suggest several specific pol-

icy interventions to address gaps in risk management

capabilities that the COVID-19 crisis revealed.
